Winter Art Exhibition

Bringing together the paintings of seven artists with diverse styles and subject matter.

Our stunning rooms are currently filled with more than 50 wonderful paintings.  You can lounge in our drawing rooms, have a fabulous lunch in our dining room, take a turn in our Old Kitchen or simply wander around to enjoy the diverse art on show to brighten up a winters day.

Miranda Leung - A Warm Welcome

Miranda Leung – Still life, landscapes and portraits, Miranda seeks to capture a moment of truth - be it a feeling, a spirit, a personality or a sense of beauty (oil and acrylic)

Laura Smith - Glimmering Mismatch

Laura Smith –  Still Life; allows Laura the greatest freedom to express her emotions. The placement, manipulation and gesture of the objects, and how they interact with one another, is a big driving force for her

Daniel Shadbolt - Cello

Daniel Shadbolt - The paintings make use of colour to harmonise the view of the subject.  Daniel uses a gestural application of paint and a free brushstroke, trying to bring this vision to life.

Fariyal Wallez - is a figurative painter exploring the morphology of line, shape and colour to unveil experiences of the spaces and places inhabited by the human psyche.

Kim Scouller - Greenhouse & Garden Sheds

Kim Scouller - A Scottish figurative artist working predominantly in oils and pastels. Her work focuses on portraiture, still life and urban landscapes with a strong painterly approach to her subjects.

Karen Topp - Hollickwood l: March Early

Karen Topp - Landscapes, buildings, figures and colour, used as channels to express a fascination for the interaction of light and dark, solitary contemplation and home (acrylic, pastel, mixed media)

Sarah Jane Moon - Back to Life

Sarah Jane Moon - Specialises in portraiture and figurative painting. Her work explores identity, gender and connection to place. Physically, her paintings are large, gestural and suffused with a love of colour, surface and her chosen medium: oil paint.
