Land Rover chooses The Wood Norton for new Discovery launch!

Land Rover has chosen Worcestershire’s leading luxury hotel, The Wood Norton, as its exclusive venue for the UK media launch of the new Land Rover Discovery.

Taking place over a five-day period from Wednesday 22nd March, the launch event welcomed a number of prestigious guests including national automotive and lifestyle journalists to embark on a Land Rover experience of a lifetime – which included a talk from renowned Explorer and Land Rover Ambassador, Sir Ranulph Fiennes.

The tailored experience started and ended at The Wood Norton, with an on-road drive route over the Brecon Beacons and a demanding off-road adventure at Eastnor Castle, Land Rover’s legendary off-road engineering facility, to demonstrate the capabilities of the all-new Discovery –the most versatile Land Rover SUV to date.

The launch event also provided the opportunity for The Wood Norton to showcase its offering as a prestigious hotel come corporate events venue, with all guests returning to the property for an evening of fine-dining prepared by award-winning Head Chef, Kieran Hunt, and his team.

Boasting an unrivalled position overlooking the Bredon Hills, The Wood Norton is no stranger to hosting exclusive events, and in Summer 2016 was also selected by Malaysian oil firm, PETRONAS, as the launch venue for its new PETRONAS Syntium 3000 AV synthetic car engine oil.

General Manager of The Wood Norton, Steve Sweeny, said: “Here at The Wood Norton we work hard to create a bespoke offering, in an exclusive location, for corporate clients from across the UK and overseas - and have established some excellent long-term working relationships as a result.”

“I am extremely delighted that The Wood Norton has been selected as the launch venue for the new Land Rover Discovery and am hopeful that this is the start of an excellent working relationship. Land Rover is a brand renowned for its high end quality and versatility – which is very much in line with The Wood Norton’s values as a Hotel and Events venue.”

The Wood Norton forms new partnership to triple corporate experience!

The Wood Norton has established a new working partnership with renowned stately home, Ragley Hall, and leading local events management company, Warwick Events.

By working together to create an innovative and unique corporate meeting and events package, the three partners hope to attract more corporate business to the local area, from across the UK and overseas.

This new partnership comes after a series of successful events managed by the Warwick Events team and hosted at The Wood Norton hotel – where both parties hold a mutual interest in offering something a little different for corporate guests, which, they both felt could be successfully supported by offsite activities at Ragley Hall.

Emma Wellstead, Managing Director of Warwick Events, confirmed: “We are so excited. Why? Well, we think Warwick Events is like the Heston Blumenthal of the event industry. So, with the Wood Norton Hotel and Ragley Hall as two of our main ingredients, just think of the exciting twists and combinations we’re going to make!  The event possibilities are incredible.

“Companies looking for ‘something special’ and ‘different’ need look no further.  And it couldn’t be any easier.  We arrange everything so that it mirrors our client’s personality, their event objectives and most importantly it makes everyone attending feel special.  After all, isn’t that what we all want?”

Country sports, hands on falconry, fine dining, gin tasting and team building are just a few examples of the activities to be included in the new corporate packages – all uniquely designed to impress, whilst showcasing the delights of Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the surrounding Cotswolds to corporate travellers.

Steve Sweeny, General Manager of The Wood Norton, added: “The Wood Norton, Ragley Hall and Warwick Events all aim to offer something different and memorable to our guests - so to me, a corporate events partnership was an obvious step.”

“I not only feel that this will be instrumental in the growth of corporate business within our local area, but will also offer our corporate customers worldwide, a complete package tailored to their needs, whilst promoting our local attractions – from the surrounding Cotswolds to Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon.”

Hilary Philpott, House Manager at Ragley Hall stated: “Ragley is excited to set up a new partnership with Wood Norton and Warwick Events and looks forward to adding more wonderful stories to the history of this distinguished Stately Home, whilst creating great memories for our forthcoming visitors and guests.”
